Admission Procedure
Patients can access the MMA Clinic for Chest Surgery through a GP’s referral which, for non-residents of Belgrade, has to be pre-certified by a relevant Branch Office of the National Institute of Public Health.
All the citizens coming for treatment at their request and their own charge are required to make an advance payment (deposit) in the amount of 90 percents of total costs of medical treatment. Admission at the Clinic can be indicated only by the physician-specialist in chest surgery within the Chest Surgery Ward.
Appointment scheduling through the Appointment Office is required and surgical procedures that are not urgent may be carried out within the period of three weeks. There are no appointment requirements for emergencies, but the admission is made without the refferal, i.e. it is provided later, together with the admission confirmation.
