New Academic Year in the MMA’s Medical School

At the solemn occasion held in the Military Medical Academy Amphitheater four classes of the cadets of the MMA’s Medical School of the University of Defence in Belgrade started a new school year 2012/2013.
The event was attended by the Rector of the University of Defence Lieutenant-General Prof. Dr. Miodrag Jevtic, Head of the Military Medical Academy Brigadier General Prof. Dr. Marijan Novakovic, MMA’s Medical School Dean Brigadier General Academician Prof. Dr. Miodrag Colic as well as the MMA’s teaching staff.
The MMA’s Head Brigadier General Prof. Dr. Marijan Novakovic extended a warm welcome to future military doctors and stressed out the fact that mentors and professors will be at their disposal to provide them all necessary support and assistance. He wished them as much success as the past three generations have been shown during their current education which represents also a safe guaranty for the future military healthcare in Serbia.
Adressing to the cadets, the MMA’s Medical School Dean Brigadier General Academician Prof. Dr. Miodrag Colic said that together with enrollment of the fourth class MMA’s Medical School is schooling at the present 107 cadets. He expressed his contentment with the exceptional results of all three classes achieved during their education and demonstrated with overall point average of 9,49.
The Rector of the University of Defence Lieutenant-General Prof. Dr. Miodrag Jevtic presented the main assignments of the University and its plans for the near future. He also emphasized that this teaching site composed of 300 teachers and more than 1000 students educates teaching staff for the needs of all defence system.
The new generation of male and female cadets was also introduced to mentors who will closely monitor their work during six-year study program.
