The ceremony was attended by the Acting Head of the MMA Colonel Prof. Dr. Miroslav Vukosavljevic, Dean of the Medical Faculty of the Military Academy of the University of Defence in Belgrade, Col. Prof. Dr. Nebojsa Jovic and the MMA’s teaching staff.
Acting Head of the MMA Colonel Prof. Miroslav Vukosavljevic wished the freshmen and older generations a happy beginning of the school year and stressed that they would have great challenges, new obligations, but also new satisfactions. He noted that the call of a military doctor would bring along a special burden and require persistence in every aspect, but that the results of the entrance examination, the high grades of the older generations, and the success of the promoted sub-lieutenants have proven that the best continue the rich history of the Serbian military healthcare. He added that MMA mentors and MMA teachers would provide them full support during the studies and create strong foundations for successful careers.
Dean of the MMA Medical Faculty, Col. Prof. Dr. Nebojsa Jovic, wished the new class a successful beginning of education and continuation of studies for older cadets. He emphasized the specifics of studying at the Medical Faculty of the MMA - interactive teaching in small groups and the mentoring principle of work in order to better manage teaching materials, as well as military training, whereby the future doctors of the Serbian Armed Forces would differ from their colleagues from the civil medical studies.
At the ceremony, cadets of the ninth class, who started their first year of study, had the opportunity to meet teachers - mentors who will guide them during their six years of studies.
