World Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Day will be marked at the Military Medical Academy on November 16th, 2017 between 9.00 a.m. and 02.00 p.m. On that occasion, all interested citizens will have the opportunity of free examinations.

On the stand, which will be set up in the lobby of the MMA’s Specialist Outpatient Clinic, citizens will be able to receive important pieces of information regarding the prevention and treatment of this respiratory disease from doctors of the Clinic for Pulmonary Diseases MMA and to see the informative material.

The spirometry test will be organized after the interview of the interested persons, and based on established indications.

The aim of marking the International Day against COPD every year is to raise citizens’ awareness about the importance of early detection and proper treatment of this most common respiratory disease.
