21. 09. 2016
The two-day seminar on the topic "War surgery and Toxicology", which was organized for representatives of the Military Medical Services of the Armed Forces of Austria, was completed today at the Military Medical Academy.
Surgeons and toxicologists of the Military Medical Academy had the opportunity to share their knowledge and experience with Austrian colleagues on specific types of injuries and trauma, especially related to neurosurgery, thoracic surgery, orthopedics, plastic and reconstructive surgery, maxillofacial and general surgery. The experience of the MMA’s National Poison Control Centre aroused a great attention, which is on call every day during the whole year as a reference Republic center for all toxicological condition.
The seminar is a continuation of the successful cooperation between the Serbian and Austrian Military Medical Services and a course on war surgery for Austrian military doctors was held in 2013 at the MMA.
