A course presenting the topic on ultrasound diagnostic of neck diseases was delivered for the third time at the Military Medical Academy on November 29-30, 2012. The two-day course, organized by the MMA’s Clinic for Otorhinolaryngology gave the attendees opportunity to closely meet the basics and novelties in this medical field, along with the state-of-the-artequipment for ultrasound diagnostics and its caracteristics.

Theoretical part of the course covered the lectures on tiroid and paratiroid gland disorders, ultrasonography of focal changes in the tiroid gland, ultrasound diagnostics of salivary gland, head and neck tumors. Practical section of the course included the topics presentation of head and neck vessels pathology, aspiration bipsy using the fine needle and citology diagnostics as well as practical workshop in the field of punctional biopsy.

The course lecturers were the physicians from the Military Medical Academy Prof. Dr. Dara Stefanovic and Asst. Prof. Dr. Zeljka Tatomirovic, supported by the physicians from the Clinical Center of Vojvodina and Clinical-Hospital Center Zemun Prof. Dr. Rajko Jovic, Prof. Dr. Ljiljana Todorovic-Djilas, Asst. Prof. Dr. Kosta Perovic and Dr. Ljiljana Cvorovic.
