Five representatives of the Institute of Transfusion Medicine in Ljubljana, Slovenia, led by a professional director Dr. Polonca Mali visited the Institute of Transfusion and hemobiology of the Military Medical Academy.

During the meeting with the Head of the Institute Prof. Dr. Bela Balint and his associates, they discussed the organization of civil and military transfusion service, areas of cooperation with other health care institutions, as well as campaigns of voluntary blood donation (VBD). The guests had the opportunity to visit the Institute's organizational units and to familiarize themselves with the conservation of blood and hemoproducts, hemobiological methods and other laboratory procedures at departments and divisions of the Institute.

After a visit to the Institute, and in order to present promotional activities in the field of VBD, a meeting was held in the Public Relations Department of MMA.
