The MMA’s Delegation in the Visit to Portugal

Belgrade, February 09, 2010. – Within the bilateral Serbian-Portuguese military medical cooperation framework, the MMA’s delegation consisting of Major General Prof. Dr. Miodrag Jevtić and Lt.Col. Dr. Srđan Starčević visited Portuguese military hospitals in the period from January 19 to 29, 2010.
The aim of this visit was to share experiences and further enhance military medical cooperation with this country. During the visit, the members of the Serbian delegation could raise their awareness about specifics of the organizational structure of Portuguese Military Medical Service, the leadership of which expressed great interest in the work and results of the MMA and our Medical Service on the whole.
The MMA’s delegation expressed a special interest in the organizational structure and functioning of the Center for Hyperbaric Medicine and Telemedicine, and a very well structured IT System in a hospital setting as well
In the course of the visit, the members of our delegation were received by His Excellency, Mr. Duško Lopandić, the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia accredited to Portugal.
