Serbian Armed Forces Day marked at MMA

The ceremony on the occasion of April 23, the Serbian Armed Forces Day was held at the Military Medical Academy.
Addressing the present, the Acting Head of the MMA Colonel Prof. Miroslav Vukosavljevic, emphasized that the MMA was marking the celebration having provided free-of-charge specialist examinations for citizens in 20 cabinets of the MMA Outpatient Clinic, the Children's Dispensary and the Counseling Center for Nutrition. He pointed out that this was a contribution to the celebration of the Serbian Armed Forces Day because the MMA staff is the best when they do what they know the best, and that is the medical care of the nation’s health, which increases the great trust that exists in the Serbian Armed Forces and the Military Medical Academy.
Congratulating the promoted and awarded colleagues, he said that the recognition for the work was recognition for an individual and the institution that he represents, and that the prestigious award "The best Belgradian", which Studio B awarded the MMA at the beginning of this month, was collectively deserved.
Today's ceremony was also an opportunity to highlight the positive steps towards the issue of human resources policy, one of the burning problems of the MMA.
Professor Vukosavljevic said that on the basis of a public call, 23 people would be hired by mid-May, while in accordance with the designated positions of professional soldiers -medical technicians, with so far 25 persons employed, 20 more persons are expected to be employed, and 16 persons from the December class are coming to work in June. In that way, as he said, starting with the recruitment through the regional centers of the Ministry of Defence, a regular inflow of personnel was provided. He added that in accordance with the needs, the largest number of places for the filling up of contracts on temporary and occasional work was allocated to the medical technicians, and thanks to the cooperation with the National Employment Service, a selection of 45 medical technicians and 20 nurses would be engaged under a contract.
