Serbia mourns its pilot

The injured pilot is out of life threat.
On the occasion of today's tragic event, Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin visited the injured pilot, Major Aleksandar Matić, at the Military Medical Academy. Minister Vulin expressed his sincere condolences to the family of the perished pilot Major Robert Kaloci.
- This morning, at 9:30 am, in the area of Kovačica village, during the regular flight training, an accident occured when the G-4 aircraft of the Serbian Armed Forces fell, and on that occasion, Major Robert Kaloci, pilot of the Technical Test Centre tragically lost his life. Major Aleksandar Matić was with him at the regular task, and he is now well, recovering, out the life-threatening condition, and he is taken care of by doctors at the Military Medical Academy, Minister Vulin said and expressed his personal deepest condolences to the Kaloci family and on behalf of the Ministry of Defence and all members of the Serbian Armed Forces.
- I wish to say that this is a terrible and big tragedy, a tragedy that no one can ever be ready for. The Serbian Armed Forces stands together with the Kaloci family in sharing their pain, as well as our entire people and all of us. The investigation has been instituted, and the results of the investigation will be reported to the public as soon as possible, according to the law and the rules of engagement, the Minister of Defence emphasized.
Minister Vulin visited the injured Major Matić at the Military Medical Academy accompanied by the Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Ljubiša Diković, and the Acting Head of the Military Medical Academy, Colonel Prof. Dr. Miroslav Vukosavljević.
