MMA doctors led by the Head of the Department of Gastroenterology at the MMA Clinic for Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Prof. Dr. Dino Tarabar, took part in the 13th Congress of the European Crohn's and Colitis Organization (ECCO ), held from February 14 to 17 in Vienna, Austria.

On this occasion, the scientific work of the MMA physicians "Combination therapy of cyclosporine and vedolizumab is effective and safe for severe, steroid-resistant Ulcerative Colitis patients: A prospective study" was included in the top 10 papers presented at the Congress. The paper presented the original efficacy study of the combined therapy of cyclosporine and vedolizumab in the treatment of the most severe forms of ulcerative colitis, and the successful results of the conducted investigation were the reason why the work was included in the main program of the Congress among 1200 submitted papers.

ECCO Congress is considered one of the largest expert meetings dedicated to this field of gastroenterology, and this year it has gathered over 65000 participants.
