The Military Medical Academy hosted the promotion of the book titled "Vascular Anomalies of Head and Neck" by Prof. Dr. Srboljub Stosic, head of the MMA’s Clinic for Maxillofacial Surgery and his associates.

Brigadier General Prof. Dr. Marijan Novakovic, head of the Military Medical Academy described it as the work of capital importance for maxillofacial and vascular surgery. He pointed out its reviewed systematic content as the exceptional contribution of this medical publication, as well as multidisciplinary characteristic which is very important, especially in the treatment of this type of diseases.

The head of the MMA’s Sector for Education and Scientific Research Colonel Prof. Dr. Predrag Romic said that the book includes the presentations of various vascular anomalies of face and neck, pathological characteristics, etiology and pathogenesis of these disorders. In addition, it contains for the first time presented international classification of anomalies on biological basis giving that way a valuable contribution to the medical society.

In course of the event, the attendees were addressed by Dr. Gordana Andjelic from the MMA’s Institute of Medical Research, Prof. Dr. Tatjana Stosic-Opincal, director of the Center for Radiology and Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Clinical Center of Serbia, Dr. Aleksandar Vlahovic, specialist in Pediatric Surgery of the Institute for Mother and Child Health Care who have created together with Prof. Dr. Srboljub Stosic this modern medical publication.
