Military Medical Academy hosted the meeting of Serbian Medical Society’s Neurosurgical Section, gathering that way numerous physicians-specialists in neurosurgery and its relative branches from Military Medical Academy, Clinical Center of Serbia, Clinical Center of Vojvodina and Nis, as well as from Clinical Hospital Center Zemun.
MMA head Brigadier General Prof. Dr. Marijan Novakovic pointed out the topic significance covering specialist scientific areas which due to its localization in highly different brain and spine tissues is almost always accompanied by hard sequelae and life treating conditions.
Head of the MMA Clinic for Neurosurgery Colonel Prof. Dr. Zoran Roganovic informed the attendees about the complications of neurosurgical procedures in the treatment of craniocerebral injuries while the lecturers in further course of the meeting presented treatment complications of cerebral glial and sellar tumors, as well as the research treatment and results of postoperative nosocomial infections affecting patients who had neurosurgical operations.
