Participation of the MMA neurologist at international meetings

Neurologists of the Military Medical Academy actively participated in the work of two international neurological conferences - the Adriatic Neurology Forum held from 23 to 27 May 2018 in Bari, Italy, and an interdisciplinary meeting of neurologists, cardiologists and physiatrists held from May 31 to June 3 in Igalo , Montenegro.
Head of the Group of Neuropsychiatric Clinics of the MMA, Colonel Prof. Dr Ranko Raicevic was a co-organizer of meetings, moderator, and lecturer in several sessions.
The scientific program of this year's Adriatic Forum included an overview of the latest research in the field of neurological treatment of children and adults, and in particular pharmacology and diagnostic procedures in the treatment of epilepsy, neurodegenerative diseases and multiple sclerosis. A noted plenary lecture titled "Proteinuria, ischemic stroke and carotid atherosclerosis" was delivered by Dr. Maria Grunauer.

An interdisciplinary three-day meeting brought together about 100 neurologists, cardiologists, physiatrists and neurosurgeons from Montenegro, Croatia and Serbia. Regional scientific cooperation was an opportunity to perceive progress in the treatment of blood vessels, multiple sclerosis, traumatic injuries, and in the rehabilitation of neurological trauma. In addition to Professor Raicevic and Dr. Grunauer, lectures were held by neurologists Prof. Dr. Evica Dincic and Colonel Doc. Dr Toplica Lepic, as well as the Head of the Group of the Internal Medicine Clinics MMA Colonel Doc. Dr. Nenad Ratkovic.
