PTSP Discussed with German Psychiatrists

Bundeswehr working group, visiting the Republic of Serbia within the framework of organized bilateral military collaboration with the Federal Republic of Germany, paid a visit to the Military Medical Academy.
Representatives of German military healthcare service, led by Lt. Col. Dr. Dirk Preusse, deputy director of Psychiatric Department, Central Military Hospital, Koblenz, shared the experiences in the field of psychiatry, with the special emphasis on Posttraumatic Stress Disorder – PTSD and psychological preparations necessary for taking participation in multinational operations. The attendees had the opportunity to see the approach in diagnostics and treatment and scientific research work of the MMA Clinic for Psychiatry, whilst the Treatment Sector Head Colonel Prof. Dr. Zoran Šegrt met the guests with the basic information related to the functioning of the Military Medical Academy.
