The delegation of the Ohio National Guard led by Brigadier General Maria E. Kelly commander of the Special Troops Command paid a visit to the Military Medical Academy on September 7, 2012 within its official visit to the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia.

The honored representatives were hosted by the MMA’s head Brig. Gen. Prof. Dr. Marijan Novakovic, dean of the MMA’s Medical School Brig. Gen. Academician Prof. Dr. Miodrag Colic, head of the MMA’s Sector for Education and Scientific-Research Col. Prof. Dr. Predrag Romic and the head of the Department of Strategic Analysis and Security Integration Col. Dr. Katarina Strbac and Major Zoran Radomirovic.

During the visit the guests were introduced into the study programs of the MMA’s Medical School, University of Defence as well as with the capacities, education and professional training methods at the Military Medical Academy and the Military Medical Training Center.

The main purpose of this official visit was sharing the experiences in the field of female engagement in the professional military service which will contribute to improve the conditions and mechanisms for their effective involvement in all missions and tasks managed by the Serbian Armed Forces.
