Belgrade, Febrauary, 22 - A surgical team led by Maj.Gen. Prof. Miodrag Jevtic, MD, PhD, has successfully and for the first time in our country, performed two new surgical procedures in the field of vascular surgery - reconstruction of aneurysm of abdominal aorta by applying the endovascular surgical technique. In the field of vascular medicine, aneurysm of abdominal aorta is considered the most serious disease of high morbidity if not     surgically treated on time. Endovascular surgical procedures are commonly applied in the treatment of diseases of the central nervous system, the heart, aorta and main blood vessels. The greatest advantages of those methods are the reduction of risks of surgical interventions and much faster postoperative recovery.
