A team of VMA’s orthopedic surgeons, with Prof. Dr Zoran Popović at its helm, performed a very complex surgical intervention at the Military Medical Academy (MMA) today - femoral bone and knee replacement using artificial implants. This is the first operation of this kind performed at the Military Medical Academy.

Only a day earlier, the same team of surgeons successfully carried out another surgical intervention – replacement of two thirds of femoral bone, knee and upper third of lower leg with artificial implants.
