Belgrade, March 19, 2010 – Over 500 medical nurses and technicians from more than 55 healthcare facilities in our country attended the Fourth Annual Section of Nephorology Medical Nurses and Technicians recently held in our institution.
The lectures presented by the outstanding experts from the MMA’s Nephrology Clinic dealt with the latest knowledge and information on anemia in patients with renal insufficiency, the role of a medical nurse-technician in the correction of anemia syndrome, health-educational work and hygienic-dietetic regime in chronic kidney disease patients, improvement of quality of nursing care as well as the role of a medical nurse-technician in mobilizing citizens for organ and tissue donation education.
The attendees to the event were warmly welcomed by the MMA’s deputy head, Col. Prof. Dr. Nikola Filipović, the head of the MMA’s Nephrology Clinic, Col. Prof. Dr. Zoran Kovačević, and the civilian employee Mrs. Verica Milovanović acting in the capacity of the head of the MMA’s Healthcare Department and the president of the Association of Medical Nurses-Technicians and Midwives of Serbia.
