- We are here to help them, to be with their families and to show that every member of the security forces in our country deserves and has a special attention and a special respect. Healthcare institutions such as the MMA are able to accept and observe all the specifics of members of the security forces and the problems they face. Military healthcare is open to both civilians and all security personnel. Every healthcare worker at the MMA will do his best to help those who need help providing the highest world standards, said Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin.
After visiting the injured in Intensive Care, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Nebojsa Stefanovic said:
- We are convinced once more of superhuman efforts made at the Military Medical Academy to keep people severely injured in life, they fight here for every second of their lives. We saw how hard their work is, especially when the degree of burns is so high and when the injuries are so severe. The MIA highly appreciates the efforts of the doctors and the entire MMA staff who are fighting for our members, but also all other citizens in Serbia, said Minister Stefanovic.
Assessing the condition of the injured Head of the MMA Colonel Prof. Dr. Miroslav Vukosavljevic said that all four injured persons, hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit, have similar consequences of extensive burns.
- They are all in a very difficult condition, life-threatening, but all vital functions are controlled. We hope that their recovery, with the extraordinary efforts of the engaged medical personnel, will flow to its course, said the Head of the MMA Colonel Prof. Dr. Miroslav Vukosavljevic.
