Minister Stefanović visits the injured employee

Tonight, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, visited M.P. (56), the employee of the “Krušik” Valjevo holding corporation, at the Military Medical Academy. The employee was injured today in an explosion that took place at the Begove Vode testing range in the village of Zlatarić near Valjevo.
The Minister of Defence thanked the MMA’s doctors and medical staff for having given the best possible medical care to the injured employee and for doing everything for his successful treatment.  
Stefanović, who sent a telegram of condolences earlier today, once again extended his deepest sympathy to the family of M.J., the engineer who lost his life in the explosion, and reiterated that it was a great loss for the defence industry.
"All members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces are deeply upset by his tragic death. The Ministry and I personally, will do everything in our power to help the family and be there for them for everything they need in these difficult times”, Stefanović said.
The injured employee, M.P, is at the surgical intensive care unit at the MMA’s Clinic for Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, and the Deputy Head of the MMA’s Treatment Sector, Lt Col Prof. Boban Đorđević, MD PhD, said that the patient was admitted with a blast injury and third-degree burns. He added that a full diagnostic procedure was done and that all necessary health measures were undertaken.
Today at about 11 a.m, there was an explosion at the Begove Vode testing range in the village of Zlatarić near Valjevo, during the execution of regular tasks on an anti-tank warhead, performed by the “Krušik” Valjevo holding corporation. One of "Krušik’s" employees, M. J, was killed in the explosion, and M.P, who participated in carrying out the testing, was injured.
The injured employee, M.P, was immediately transported to the Community Health Centre in Valjevo, where he received medical attention, and later he was transported to the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade.
Povređeni radnik M.P. odmah je prevezen u Zdravstveni centar u Valjevu gde mu je ukazana medicinska pomoć, a potom je prevezen i u Vojnomedicinsku akademiju u Beogradu.
