The meeting of Rheumatology Section of the Serbian Medical Society, organized by the Clinic for Rheumatology of the Military Medical Academy was held on 29 March 2015 at the MMA.

The meeting, during which Dr. Silvia Stevic Carevic and Dr. Bojan Knezevic from the Clinic for Rheumatology of MMA held lectures, was dedicated to case reports of patients with sarcoidosis, and systemic lupus erythematosus. These diseases due to complicated and lengthy diagnostics require joint efforts of numerous specialties and because of that are considered to be the current issues in practice.

Having analyzed the entire course of the disease in sarcoidosis - a systemic disease of unknown cause that is considered as the major diagnostic challenge at the same time, indicated the importance of a multidisciplinary approach and consultative examinations. Regarding the other example from practice, the association of systemic lupus erythematosus and multiple sclerosis was analyzed. Clinical symptoms and diagnostic criteria were presented as particularly important in the detection of early stage of a disease.
