Representatives of the Military Medical Academy participated in the national symposium of nurses and midwives with international participation held in Vrnjačka Banja from May 10 to 14, 2023.

In addition to the round table on the topic of patient’ safety, twenty lecturers from the Military Medical Academy took part in the health care sessions in internal and surgical medicine, oncology and pediatrics with oral presentations, and through a large number of professional papers, experiences in patient health care, the key role of development knowledge and skills through education programs and continuing education, the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in certain nursing interventions and innovative approaches in the provision of health services. Awards were also given for the most successful presentations, among which Maja Savić from the MMA Hematology Clinic was awarded for the best paper entitled "Nursing interventions during the application of oral cyclosporine preparations" presented as part of the health care session in internal medicine.

The traditional XX symposium, organized by the Association of Nurses - Technicians and Midwives of the Republic of Serbia, and under the auspices of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia and the Chamber of Nurses and Health Technicians of the Republic of Serbia, gathered about 250 participants from health and educational institutions for nurses from Serbia and neighboring countries.
