MMA lecturers at the lung cancer school

Members of the Military Medical Academy participated as lecturers in the work of the UMOS school for lung cancer, which was held in Belgrade for the fifth time.
Remarkable lectures were held by Colonel Assoc. Nebojša Marić, PhD, thoracic surgeon and Head of the Department of Thoracic Surgery at the Academy of Medical Sciences, Mlađana Savić, PhD, thoracic surgery specialist, as well as
Colonel Asst. Dr. Rade Milić, Head of the Pulmonology Clinic of the Military Medical Academy.
Eminent experts in the field of pulmonary oncology from the Republic of Serbia and the region participated intending to present innovations in lung cancer therapy and strive to improve the treatment of patients. The leading topic of the meeting was the multidisciplinary treatment of lung cancer, emphasizing that in the treatment of this malignancy, in addition to systemic and innovative biological therapy, chest surgery still plays a significant role.
The traditional professional meeting was organized by the Association of Medical Oncologists of Serbia (UMOS), and thanks to the engagement of Dr. Davorin Radosavljević and his associates - Dr. Bojan Zarić and Dr. Jelena Spasić. UMOS, founded in 2005, emphasizes as one of its goals the organized improvement and development of medical oncology, in which specialists, interns, and clinical doctors participate, who deal with the treatment of oncological patients daily.
