MMA Nursing Cooperation with the United Kingdom

Representatives of the Health Care Service of the Military Medical Academy, Head nurse Bojana Jovanović and Mara Tešić paid an official visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
The reason for the trip was to participate in the 58th Florence Nightingale Commemoration Service held on May 16, 2023 in St. Paul's Cathedral, London, which was held annually in honor of Nurse Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. The organizer of the event, which gathered around 2,000 foreign and domestic dignitaries from various organizations and communities of nurses and midwives, humanitarian organizations, was the Florence Nightingale Foundation.
In addition to the exchange of nurses' experience and familiarization with the way of celebrating International Nurses Day in this country, the official visit was an opportunity for discussions regarding the continuation of military medical cooperation with Lieutenant Colonel Alison Cripps from the 2nd Medical Brigade and retired Brigadier General Alison McCourt, former commander of the 2nd Medical Brigade of the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom. Discussion topics included establishing cooperation with the Florence Nightingale Foundation, getting to know the types and methods of nursing education, presenting the work of nurses in British health institutions, as well as improving cooperation with the Training Center of the 2nd Medical Brigade of the UK Armed Forces.
