28. 09. 2012
The lectures presenting the topic of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) in organization of the MMA’s Clinic for Gastroenterology and Hepatology were delivered in the Military Medical Academy Amphitheater on September 27, 2012. This everyday topic has been treated from two aspects by Colonel Prof. Dr. Radoje Doder and Colonel Asst. Prof. Dr. Nenad Perisic.
The head of the Clinic, Professor Doder with his lecture "GERD Therapy- Modern Approaches" clarified all questions beginning with its causes, treatment methods depending on disease stadium to various symptoms that can be found in the actual practice. He emphasized the sub estimated prevalence and the fact that taking the medications (antacids) without the medical consultation reduces the symptoms but it does not lead to a fully recovery of the mucous membrane.
The lecture "Modern Approach in the Therapy of Bleeding Ulcers" by the Asst. Prof. Dr. Perisic presented disease etiology and epidemiology through the statistic data of peptic ulcer bleeding and many suggestions and methods of treatments due to endoscope examinations and medical reports.
