Lecture on Heart Insufficiency, Biomarkers and Therapy at MMA

The continuous medical education course titled “Heart Insufficiency: Biomarkers and Therapy” organized by the MMA’s Medical Biochemistry Institute took place at the Military Medical Academy on Saturday, October 13, 2012.
All attendees had the possibility to broaden their knowledge through the course lectures, discussions and clinical examples on new biomarkers relevant for heart insufficiency, their application and interpretation of values obtained. The significances of modern biochemical parameters have been manifested in diagnostics of this complex clinical syndrome, in support of early disease discovering and timely application of correspondent therapy as well as in monitoring the progression and future prognosis of said disease.
Novelties promotion in the heart insufficiency treatment, heart markers in urgent conditions, and the presentation of new laboratory parameter aimed at cardiovascular risk estimation gathered 140 physicians, biochemists, pharmacists, medical technicians and associates.
