Military Medical Academy hosted a continuous medical education course presenting the latest news in melanoma diagnostics and treatment. The event took place on March 22, 2013, under the organization of the MMA’s Clinic for Dermatovenerology.

Brigadier General Prof. Dr. Marijan Novakovic, head of the Military Medical Academy, in his welcome speech pointed out the importance of regular skin examinations aimed at early detection of melanoma and the other forms of skin cancers. The head of the MMA Clinic for Dermatovenerology Colonel Prof. Dr. Rados Zecevic announced numerous lectures covering the topic of melanoma, the most aggressive malignant disease of that type.

Scientific part of the program included melanoma diagnostics and surgical treatment, as well as various testing procedures of this disease. The attendees were also introduced with different types of therapies and latest research in the field of mentioned medical areas.
