The annual meeting and the awarding of letters of thanks to prominent members and associates, marked the 40th anniversary of the AA Club at the Daily Hospital of the Clinic for Psychiatry at the Military Medical Academy. The Head of the daily hospital Prof. Dr. Gordana Dedic with associates - doctors and therapists, as well as members of other clubs in Serbia attended the event.

As pointed out in the introductory words and presentations during the meeting, the AA Club was opened at the MMA Psychiatric Clinic in 1977, and the creator of this daily hospital concept - a model of extended treatment that was accepted everywhere in the world was Colonel prof. Dr. Stanislav Nikic, a neuropsychiatrist and a former head of the MMA Psychiatric Clinic. During four decades of work, the Club has become a stable model of rehabilitation, a place of support for abstainers and members of their families with the goal of complete resocialization process and expectation of the most successful return to the family and working environment.
