The symposium on the hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in the treatment of malignant haemopathies organized by the Military Medical Academy’s Hematology Clinic will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017, starting at 10.00 am at the MMA amphitheater.

An introductory lecture on the prevention and treatment of leukemia relapse after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation will be held by Prof Nicolaus Kröger President of the European Transplant Association and Visiting Professor at the MMA’s Medical Faculty of the University of Defence in Belgrade.

At the expert meeting, which will be held for the seventh time in the Military Medical Academy, besides novel issues in this field of medicine, the results of the MMA Hematology Clinic will also be presented. Topics of the lecture of the MMA physicians will include the prevention and treatment of complications of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, which are occasionally the reasons for the failure of this procedure.
