‘’Positive experiences we have gained so far through our cooperation with colleagues from the Palermo Burn Center and the success we have jointly achieved in the treatment of a little Stevan Stajić may serve as the proof how truthful my words are, how important the joint work is and how much need there is for organizing such medical events. I wish all of you a lot of success in your work’’, said the General.
On behalf of the Republic of Serbia Ministry of Health, the attendees were addressed by the State Secretary Željko Milošević who highly welcomed the cooperation between the Military Medical Academy and the Palermo Burn Center. This Seminar is the first seminar of its type organized in our country. It is the result, in the first place, of cooperation between the Military Medical Academy and the Palermo Burn Center established several years ago and institutionalized by signing the Protocol on Cooperation, which envisages the establishment of the Laboratory for the skin cell cultivation at the Military Medical Academy within the Protocol’s next commitment period. That would considerably improve our possibilities of treating burns.
The experts from the Palermo Burn Center are responsible for coordination of the work of the Mediterranean Association for Burns, in the work of which the MMA’s physicians have been actively involved since last year.
