Impressions from the XXV Congress of Cardiologists of Serbia

Cardiologists of the Military Medical Academy participated in the work of the Congress of Cardiologists of Serbia, which brought together dozens of eminent lecturers from the country and the world in Belgrade.
The presentation of the latest achievements in various fields of cardiology, from basic concepts of cardiovascular diseases to top cardiological practice to the presentation of new publications and guidelines was organized through plenary lectures, thematic sessions, and poster presentations.
The MMA session on acute heart failure and various clinical scenarios included lectures by the head of the MMA Clinic for Urgent Internal Medicine, Prof. Dr. Nemanja Đenić, Dr. Snježana Vukotic, Dr. Milena Pandrc and Dr. Danijela Vraneš. In the joint session of the UCC of the Republic of Srpska, the Association of Cardiologists of the Republic of Srpska, the Military Academy, and the Institute of Pulmonary Diseases of Vojvodina on pulmonary thromboembolism, Colonel Prof. Dr. Slobodan Obradović participated with the topic of treatment of chronic thromboembolic disease in Serbia, who also chaired the session dedicated to the challenges of antithrombotic therapy and harmonization of current guidelines and clinical practice, as well as a session in the field of cardio-oncology. In the sessions of the Military Medical Academy with the topics of genotyping-guided antiplatelet therapy and traditional cardiovascular risk factors and new cardiovascular markers, in addition to Prof. Dr. Nemanja Đenić, also participated: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nenad Ratković, Dr. Milena Pandrc, Dr. Nemanja Rančić, and Dr. Anđelko Hladiš, while Dr. Vanja Kostovski, Dr. Ivica Đurić, and Dr. Boris Đudović also participated in oral presentations of original works.
