A three-member working group of the Military Medical Services of the Armed Forces of the United States paid a visit to the Psychiatric Clinic of the Military Medical Academy.

The meeting with members of the MMA Clinic for Psychiatry was organized to discuss the issues in the field of the mental health of military personnel and their families. A special attention was paid to the exchange of experience and results in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder in war veterans. Also, an important part of the discussion was the psychological selection and preparation of candidates, primarily medical workers, to participate in peacekeeping operations, as well as a common experience in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders.
