Diplomas of Integrated Academic Studies of Medicine have been presented to the cadets of the 3rd class of the Medical Faculty of the Military Medical Academy, the University of Defence in Belgrade at the amphitheater of the Military Medical Academy today, who will be promoted tomorrow to the medical sub lieutenants of the Serbian Armed Forces.
Congratulating the first great success on the way of conquering the profession and science within the military healthcare system, the Acting Head of the MMA Colonel Prof. Dr. Miroslav Vukosavljevic, stressed that the main meaning of their profession is in the Hippocratic Oath they have taken formally.
"Please remember it well, because these are not just words, it is the meaning of our call and guide through all the difficult moments that await you, and there will be plenty of such things. Any of the numerous personal and professional renouncements is worth the feelings of trust that our patients and citizens have in military healthcare. That is why you are expected to wear your uniforms rightly, both medical and military, in an honorable manner, "said Colonel Vukosavljevic.
Dean of the Medical Faculty of the MMA Colonel prof. Dr Nebojsa Jovic awarded the diplomas to young Sub Lieutenants, who has congratulated the new generation of doctors and teachers who led them through the studies.
The best student of the third class, Dr. Milos Danilovic and the best student of the first class of the Medical Faculty Dr. Goran Savic were awarded this year's paintings from the fund "Stevan Sefer".
"Instead of the dead legacies that usually end up in a basement or on the walls of the gallery, I have decided to create a living fund, and to award a painting to the best student each year," explained Slobodanka Rakic Sefer, the founder of the Fund, whose husband Stevan Shefer spent about 40 years at the MMA.
