Dermatological Examinations within Euromelanoma Campaign

Free examinations of moles and other pigmented lesions for citizens within the pan-European campaign for the prevention of skin cancer "Euromelanoma 2017" will be organized in 27 cities throughout Serbia. In this preventive campaign, which is held every year, and also doctors of the Military Medical Academy participate in, headed by the Head of the Clinic for Skin and Venereal Diseases MMA Prof. Dr. Lidija Kandolf Sekulovic, who is also a national coordinator of the campaign.
All interested citizens can apply for an examination from 10 to 30 April 2017, by filling out a questionnaire on the degree of skin cancer risk on the website www.euromelanoma.org/serbia. Signing up for an examination via the free phone line 0800 222 888 will be provided from 3 to 5 May 2017, in the period from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm.
Scheduled screening examinations will be conducted on Monday, 8 May 2017 in dermatological institutions throughout Serbia, and a list of participating institutions is available on the website www.euromelanoma.org/serbia.
This year's prevention of skin cancer campaign will be held under the slogan "You only get one skin", and aims to increase awareness about the potential risks of excessive sun exposure. Citizens with an increased risk of skin cancer will have the advantage in the appointment scheduling, and the initiative activities for a ban on sunbed use for persons under 18 years old will be continued during the campaign as well as activities for expanding treatment options for metastatic melanoma.
The campaign is organized by the Association of Dermatologists of Serbia in cooperation with Euromelanoma Europe, the European Association of Dermatologic Oncology, and Intersectional Committee for melanoma of the Serbian Medical Society, under the auspices of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia.
