Defence Minister and Chief of General Staff Signed Donor Cards

Defence Minister Zoran Djordjevic and the SAF Chief of Staff General Ljubisa Dikovic, with members of both collegium signed donor cards at the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade, providing support to the national organ donation campaign.
The Defence Minister said on the occasion that he, general Dikovic and members of the collegium in that way, "responded to the most important call in life".

"I hope that our example will encourage more citizens to join the campaign that is a direct support to organ transplant and saving human lives. I sincerely believe that the organ donation campaign will get off the ground more effectively and move Serbia from the rear of the European list of donors. “Minister Djordjevic said, reminding that the new initiative for the popularization of donor cards launched the Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic.
Organ donation pledge program began at the Military Medical Academy in 2002, in order to popularize and improve the transplantation program, and around 120,000 citizens have signed donor cards so far.
Donor card signing was preceded by a meeting of the collegium of the Minister of Defence and Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces.
