Cooperation of Military Healthcare Department with the Republic of Hungary

The Head of the Military Healthcare Department, Colonel Dr. Ugljesa Jovicic and his associates paid an official visit to the Military Healthcare Department and the NATO Military Medical Center of Excellence (MilMedCOE) in Budapest, Hungary.
The visit was organized in order to familiarize with the capacities and organization of the NATO Center with which bilateral military-medical cooperation was primarily seen within the framework of the Balkan military task forces, and then through joint medical engagement. At the meeting, which was led by the Center's commander Colonel Dr. Laslo Fazeqas, it was discussed about the upcoming activities during the year, the plans for organizing courses from different areas in the Center of the Military Medical Services of the Military Healthcare Department of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia.
During the visit, meetings were also held with the Chief of Military Healthcare of Hungary, Brigadier General Istvan Kopčo and the Commander of the Medical Center of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Hungary, Major General Istvan Sabo. In addition to presenting the history and work of the Central Hospital, our delegation also had the opportunity to get acquainted with the organization of the medical services and to visit the organizational units. Topics of discussion included future plans and frameworks for possible cooperation in the field of professional military healthcare experiences exchange in the field of aviation medicine, as well as the improvement of cooperation between the centers for military medical training of the two countries.
