Chief of General Staff of Angola Visited MMA

Within the official visit of a delegation of the Republic of Angola, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Angola General Geraldo Sachipengo Nunda visited the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade. The aim of the visit was to get familiar with the capacities of the Military Medical Academy and the Medical faculty, Military Medical Academy, University of Defence in Belgrade.
On behalf of the Military Medical Academy guests were welcomed by the Deputy Head of the Military Health Care Department Colonel Jovicic Ugljesa and reminded that the bilateral cooperation of two countries in the field of military medicine have already started, and the best proof of this is the ongoing joint medical trilateral engagement of the member staff of the Angolan Armed Forces, Ohio National Guard, the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces in the village of Reljan in the south of Serbia.
The MMA’s Deputy Head Col. Prof. Dr. Dragan Dincic said that although geographically distant, the two countries have a tradition of excellent cooperation that has been fostered through the exchange of students in the former Yugoslavia as well as at the University of Defence in Belgrade nowadays. He emphasized that, in addition to the experience in the field of medical sciences, MMA has the knowledge related to the organization of work of this organizationally complex institution, and that could be an issue of mutual interest.
Dean of the Medical Faculty of the Military Medical Academy Colonel Prof. Dr. Nebojsa Jovic introduced the delegation with the main advantages of three level studying at the MMA and said it could be possible to organize even tailored forms of education and training, in line with the needs of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Angola.
