The beginning of a new school year for male and female cadets of the MMA’s Faculty of Medicine, University of |Defence in Belgrade was marked at the Military Medical Academy. The ceremony was attended by the Acting Head of the MMA Colonel Prof. Dr Zoran Segrt and the Dean of the MMA’s Faculty of Medicine Colonel Prof. Dr Nebojsa Jovic with the associates.

The Acting Head of the MMA Colonel Prof. Dr Zoran Segrt wished the youngest class of cadets a successful start of their studies and the older generations successful continuation of their education. Prof. Segrt mentioned the specifics of a military doctor profession and pointed out the quality and advantages of studying at the MMA’s Faculty of Medicine, as well as obligations that are way ahead of them having considered the success of previous generations.

The Dean of the MMA’s Faculty of Medicine Colonel Prof. Dr Nebojsa Jovic congratulated the seventh class of cadets on their completion of military training and beginning of professional education. He said that they would have numerous duties but they would have the support from the whole Institution and in that light emphasized the importance of mentor approach in the process of acquiring knowledge and skills.

At the end of the ceremony 25 cadets were introduced to the teachers - mentors who would supervise their progress during six-year-long studies.
