World Asthma Day was celebrated at the Military Medical Academy having performed consultative examinations and spirometric testing for interested citizens.

On this occasion, more than 20 citizens addressed the MMA pulmonologists primarily regarding the control of a pre-existing disease, while five people decided to have preventive testing - lung function investigation due to some of the symptoms of chronic inflammation of the respiratory airways.

Asthma Day is marked each year with various events to raise awareness about the significant asthma symptoms such as dry cough, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and so on. The aim of the campaign is to improve prevention, as well as improving the quality of diagnostic and treatment of the disease.
