On April 23 - Serbian Armed Forces Day, a ceremony was held at the Military Medical Academy.
The Head of the Military Medical Academy, Colonel Prof. Dr. Nenad Perišić, recalling that today's holiday is a milestone in the creation of the modern Serbian state and army, said that we celebrate this special day in Serbian history while paying homage to all our ancestors who, with their struggle and personal sacrifices, founded Serbian statehood. He emphasized that the army has always been an important part of our people, that many significant personalities have emerged from it, warriors who have written our rich history with their spirit and courage, and that today we have a trained professional military, which is being systematically educated. He also emphasized that advancement in the military is not a choice but a necessity, that every step of success is encouraging, and a satisfied military member is part of a satisfied society.
At today's ceremony, members of the Military Medical Academy were presented with commendations and awards.
