As member of the delegation of Military Health Sector of Serbian Ministry of Defense, Colonel Professor Dr Marijan Novaković, Chief of Military Medical Academy took part in the session of International Working Group (IWG) of the International Committee of Military Medicine (ICMM), which was held in QUIN ASTRID military hospital in Brussels, in the period from May 10 – 12, 2011.

11th American Transplant Congress (ATC), which gathered the leading experts in organ, cell and tissue transplant from USA and other countries of the world, was held in Philadelphia in the period from April 30th to May 4th, 2011, under the organization of the US Transplant Association and the American Society of Transplant Surgeons.
12.05.2011 | Celebration of the International Nurses Day – Selected Nurse of the Year at MMA
12th of May, the International Nurses Day was marked this year as well a the Military Medical Academy by traditional event, and aside from MMA’s medical nurses and technicians and former head nurses of this institution, this event was also attended by the MMA’s head, Colonel Prof. Dr. Marjan Novaković with members of Administration.

Military Medical Academy is continuing with the blood donation campaign in cooperation with civilian health institutions, with the goal to promote it in Serbia and to collect as much of this precious liquid as possible.

With meetings with pupils and graduate students of high schools of medicine in Serbia and with their teachers, Military Medical Academy is continuing its successful cooperation with these institutions, which has turned into a nice tradition that MMA cherishes for a number of years.

The three-day conference of military health services of the countries of South-East Europe, organised in Belgrade by the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Norway and the United States European Command, included also a visit to the Military Medical Academy (MMA).
16.04.2011 | Chief of MMA visiting Clinical Hospital Centre Zagreb
Following the invitation of the Chief of Institute for Plastic Surgery, Docent Dr Davor Mijatović, Colonel Professor Dr Marijan Novaković, Chief of Military Medical Academy, visited the Rebro Clinical Hospital Centre in Zagreb on April 16th, 2011, where the III Workshop of Croatian Breast Cancer Academy was held under the organization of Alergan Company.
16.04.2011 | MMA hosts a professional course in procedures and measures in hazardous medical waste management
An accredited first category course named „Procedures and measures in hazardous medical waste management“ was held at the Military Medical Academy, in the organisation of the Institute for Pharmacy. The conference, opened by Prof. Dr. Mirjana Antunović, Head of the Institute for Pharmacy at MMA, was attended by 250 healthcare employees (pharmacists, doctors of medicine, biochemists, nurses and healthcare technicians).
