03.10.2011 | The Paper Awarded at the European Congress of Otorhinologists in Barcelona
The paper devoted to "Angiofibroma arising from the middle turbinate: an immunohistochemical study’’ authored by the group of doctors from the Military Medical Academy, among whom were Dr. Aleksandar Perić and Assist. Prof. Dr. Nenad Baletić from the Otorhinolaryngology Clinic as well as Prof. Dr. Snežana Cerović and Assist. Prof. Dr. Biserka Vukomanović-Đurđević from the Pathology Institute, was awarded at the Congress of the Confederation of the European Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (ORL-HNS) held in Barcelona, Spain, in July 2011. Dr. Perić was the winner of the award for the best presentation of the said paper.

A team of doctors at the Military Medical Academy, i.e. its Clinic for Vascular Surgery and the Medical Centre for Interventional Cardiovascular Pathology, has demonstrated, for the first time in ever in Serbia, how the Angio Jet System works and carried out a mechanical thrombectomy intervention on a fresh case of thrombosis of deep veins in lower extremities.

The Day of the Serbian Armed Forces Medical Services was officially marked at the Niš Military Hospital today in memory of 30th July 1839, when Dr Emerich Lindemeier was appointed the first staff doctor in accordance with the Constitution of the Principality of Serbia and the Act on Formation of Standing Military Forces.
