Within the first 6 months of 2009, the MMA’s Outpatient Diagnostic Center performed over 160.888 specialist examinations and 45.985 various complex diagnostic procedures on ambulatory patients. Out of that number, 130.412 specialist examinations and 32.311 diagnostic procedures refer to the military patients

16.07.2009 | A marked increase in the number of acute mushroom poisoning
A significant increase in number of acute mushroom poisoning was observed over the recent period. Since July 1, 2009, there have been 20 patients with acute mushroom poisoning hospitalized at the Clinic for Emergency and Clinical Toxicology of the MMA’s Poison Control Center.
16.07.2009 | Enrollment in the MMA’s School for Advanced Studies is completed
The enrollment of the first-year students in the MMA’s School for Advanced Studies who passed the entrance examination and met all admission requirements was completed. The entrants of the MMA’s Advanced Studies School , ten young women and eight men, were given a warm welcome by the MMA’s head, Major General Prof. Dr. Miodrag Jevtić. In addition to congratulations on the achieved results, the students were thoroughly informed about the obligations they are to take from the September 1, already.

Within the framework of providing medical support to the Universiade 2009, around 300 MMA’s medical staff members were engaged in providing round the clock medical services at the MMA’s Polyclinic in the University Village and competition area.

Delegation of the Serbian Military Medical Services led by the MMA’s head Major General Prof. Dr. Miodrag Jevtic participated at the 14th Balkan Military Medical Committee Congress held on May 10-14, 2009, in Burgas, Bulgaria The 23-member delegation included eminent experts from the Military Medical Academy, representatives of the Heath Department of the Ministry of Defence and Nis Military Hospital.

At the Press Conference held at the Military Medical Academy on the occasion of the award of certificates, it was said that the complete process of work and management at the Military Medical Academy was carried out in accordance with the highest standards of the Quality Management System ISO 9001, Environmental Management System ISO 14001, Occupational Health and Safety Management System ISО 18001, Food Safety Management System ISО 22000 and Laboratory Management System ISO 17025.

50 years of existence of the MMA’s Nuclear Medicine Institute was marked with an official meeting held at the MMA’s amphitheater, in the presence of the most responsible heads of the Military Medical Academy, nuclear medicine specialists from all clinical hospitals and university centers in Serbia, with whom the MMA’s experts have established successful cooperation.
