A surgical team led by Maj.Gen. Prof. Miodrag Jevtic, MD, PhD, has successfully and for the first time in our country, performed two new surgical procedures in the field of vascular surgery - reconstruction of aneurysm of abdominal aorta by applying the endovascular surgical technique.

On the occasion of the 15th of February, the Serbian Armed Forces Day, the Minister of Defence Dragan Šutanovac awarded the prize for the best research work in the MoD and AF of the Republic of Serbia to professor Bela Balint, MD, PhD from the MMA Transfusiology Institute for his work in the field of regenerative medicine relating to therapeutic application of stem cells in patients with acute myocardial infarction during cardiological surgery and the cell therapy in patients with liver cirrhosis and degenerative changes in pancreas.
